Megelise Handmade Pottery

Pacific Northwest Collection

Fern Mug

The delicate tendrils of fern fronds spread across this PNW Collection mug in contrasting green tones reminiscent of a peaceful stroll in the Pacific Northwest. Nicely balance and large enough for a generous portion of your favorite beverage.

Each piece is wheel thrown with porcelain clay, then refined through trimming/sanding. After firing, the piece is cleaned, underglazes are painted or stenciled in aesthetically pleasing arrangements, and a clear glaze is applied. When the clear glaze has dried, wax is used to cover and protect the design while the rest of the piece is glazed.

The photographs for this listing are an example, not the exact piece you will receive. Because each piece is handmade, there may be slight variations in size and shape, the placement of the pattern, depth, and color ranges of the glaze. Rather than considering these to be imperfections, I believe they are part of what makes each piece uniquely beautiful.
