Cherry Blossom Vase
Sweet hand-painted cherry blossoms grace the top of this 8 1/4 inch vase, followed by a creamy reactive glaze that slides into a bold teal. Gorgeous all by itself, or a lovely vessel to display your favorite bouquet.
This piece was wheel thrown with porcelain clay, then refined through trimming/sanding, and the application of an underglaze transfer (from SanBao Studios), and the details were hand painted. A clear glaze was applied over the cherry blossoms, and wax was used to cover and protect the designed while the rest of the piece was glazed.
